About Tiffany Corjay, LCSW

Tiffany Corjay, LCSW is a Licensed Certified Social Worker who obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Her graduate degree is a Master of Social Work received from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. She has worked in Hot Springs, Arkansas as a licensed psychotherapist since 1998. Much of her time is spent assisting others through EMDR therapy to reduce the effects of past and present trauma and abuse. She also works consistently in helping others with learning to cope and alleviate anxiety and depression due to daily life changes, stressors, and loss. She enjoys working with people of all ages. She spent the first half of her career working with children within the Garland County School systems. Her specialties currently are in trauma care, and working with children and families through a solution focused approach. She has spent a lifetime actively working with and enjoying horses. She competed in championship rodeo’s growing up and is returning to the ranch now to combine her love for horses with her love for helping others. With Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, and Horse Powered Reading® clients are provided treatment in a safe setting. Clients don’t have to know how to ride. The horse partners with the therapist and client to offer feedback, boundaries, build trust, develop reading skills, and so much more.

Why do we use animals?

The incorporation of animals in treatment, especially horses aids in the healing of emotional and behavioral conditions. Horses offer comfort, consistency and nurturing to support the mind and body. These animals sense your emotions and reflect them back to you. An opportunity for discussion is created without being overwhelming. This type of therapy is known to regulate the nervous system, cultivate social learning, healthy connections, promote secure attachments, and enhance the client-therapist relationship.
